The nightclub portion of the building was built in 1955. The dance floor is the original floor, built over sleepers which is almost like 2X4’s on edge directly on the dirt covered with ¾” shiplap on diagonal with ¾” maple hardwood. It is an actual floating dance floor.
There was also a mezzanine that overlooked the dance hall which is still here as well; it is now our VIP balcony with separate serving bar.
In the early to mid 70’s the building became a huge 27,000 sq ft furniture store well known as The Furniture Barn, lately known as Corey’s Furniture, now known as the biggest dine and dance facility in Southern Alberta with the best steaks and mouth-watering prime rib, Ralph’s Texas Bar & Steak House.
