Owners – Ralph & Peggy Steiert founded Ralph’s Texas Bar & Steak House, the hottest waterin’ hole in the Hat in October 2003. In less than one year Ralph’s became the Hat’s premier dancing, live entertainment, bar and restaurant.

Ralph’s Texas Bar and Steak House offers ample pool tables, banquet rooms complete with catering, fine cuisine and tonnes of entertainment.

History

 The dance hall portion of the building was built in 1955.  The dance floor is the original floor, built over sleepers which is almost like 2X4’s on edge directly on the dirt covered with ¾” shiplap on diagonal with ¾” maple hardwood. It is an actual floating dance floor.

 There was also a mezzanine that overlooked the dance hall which is still here as well; it is now our Bamboo bar/lounge.

 To the best of our knowledge it was called the Westerner Dance Hall & Bahama Bob’s Steak House was upstairs. This building was approx ½ mile out of town.

 In the early to mid 70’s the building became a huge 27,000 sq ft furniture store well known as The Furniture Barn, lately known as Corey’s Furniture, & now known as the newest and latest night club in Medicine Hat, Ralph’s Texas Bar & Steak House.
